I try other pizza places but always go back to Sals. It's great and my kids love the buns. Also, the delivery guys are very nice.

We got delivery, so I can't speak to the experience in the restaurant itself. However, the guy on the phone was very friendly and they had no issues with delivering to our location on the outskirts of town. We ordered one of their stuffed pizzas and some cannolis. The large pizza was massive; I think we gnawed on it for four days afterward. It was very good and arrived hot with marinara on the side for dipping (no sauce actually inside the pizza). The cannolis were fabulous; they tasted like they were about 1000 calories each-- I don't want to know how close they really were! Given the option of these guys or the chain pizza delivery, I'll take Sal's any day. Will definitely have to try the normal pizzas next time.

We happened to be in West Bend over the weekend for a little league tournament. I'd never been there before. My husband and I ventured downtown for a bite as we had some time to kill. We stopped into Sal's for a slice and now I'm sad.... Sad that West Bend is 90 min. away from Madison because that was some seriously fabulous pizza, damn good in fact!!! I ordered a calzone-like slice that had a thin top crust in addition to the bottom crust with a filling that consisted of mozzarella, ricotta, sausage and pepperoni. SO amazing - creamy and crisp and chewy and salty and full of flavor! Dare I say, it was practically perfect! My slice was accompanied by a bright flavored and garlicky marinara for dipping that was so good it just drove the awesomeness factor through the roof! Hear me now and believe me later. Drop in for a slice when you're in the area or just stopping through on your way to somewhere else. You will be happy and satiated and so very glad you did!!!

As are most people, I am totally in love with the garlic knots!! The pizza is incredible, too. I have been bummed the last couple times, when they are out of the garlic knots, though! Never have I been disappointed with the staff. Go visit them!!

Might have hit this place on a bad night, but pizza was on par with frozen. We drove about 20 mins and the pizza was ready and hot when we arrived. Service was friendly, and the pizza was okay, but I will try another place next time.

My cheese slice was very good. "Sal" warmed my slice up in the pizza oven and it gave the crust a crispy crack. The sauce was a blend of sweet and savory - a very pleasant combination on the palate. Add to it the garlic knot and a soda and I left quite satisfied for $4.50. Not sure when I'll be back in West Bend but when I am I'll be going to Sal's.

I love Sal's for various reasons. 1) You can walk in and purchase a single slice of basically any kind of pizza on their menu. 2) They have unique pizza's that you cannot get anywhere else in town. 3) The combination of the two listed above reminded me of a visit in Southern CA I once had for the Margarita pizza had the same toppings and same purchase by slice (minus the garlic knot you get at Sal's with each slice). 4) Staff and owner is friendly.

I know my pizza - had it from chicago to NY and this place was underwhelming at best...i understand the concept of pre made pizza behind glass but I feel the turnover here is too slow to justify warmed up pizza slices... The pepperoni was so greasy we has to drain it off before it was edible and the crust was soggy. Stromboli was tasteless consisting of processed chicken cubes and gummy mozzarella cheese with no seasoning what so ever and cold marinara with no means to heat it up, whats the point of having hit food with cold sauce. Garlic dough knots served with heavy handed garlic...way too much dough for one meal. Salad would have been great. Friendly staff but Sterile atmosphere .

I have to confess that I am addicted to Sal's Pizza. Every time I am in town I make an excuse to stop by. The pizza is great, and me and my husband can eat a full meal for $8.00. You can't beat those kind of prices. I have never had a bad slice and the people who work there are very sweet. Last time they gave me a free cannoli because I am there so much and they said they appreciated my business. Also they have homemade Gyro's that are awesome.

Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get! The fried mushrooms are frozen and they fry them, but they were yummy. You also get a TON. There are some interesting choices as well, and I enjoyed the barbecue chicken pizza. Great for a quick bite just down the block from where I work, so I'll definitely go back.

The best Za' in West Bend! This is what pizza is supposed to be like, growing up out east, we know pizza! Not the lump of dough or cardboard with sauce and sparsely topped chain crap. If you want true N.Y. style pizza's then Sal's is it. Very reasonable prices and a great value.

A massively large slice of pizza, a garlic knot and a medium sized drink, all for $5! Best deal in downtown West Bend. Not only are. Their slices of pizza big, but their large pizza's are massive and will feed a bunch of people.

1st to review? Wow West Bend, just wow. You are a clicky frickin' community, but nobody has reviewed Sal's? Fine. Well 5 stars then, pizza is way too greasy for those faint of heart, but it's open late and between the two best bars. Now I did move South one-stop before Milwaukee where I encountered Cedarburg Sal's... no way, not as good. Where both places have put my order in late, I was able to go back to the bar in West Bend, and Cedarburg just blows. It's thinner and greasier than CB and their kitchen is like 20 times better for better faster fresher stronger pizzas! =) Big Ass Slices, and you can even put Big Ass Ham on it if you like... It's your life, you do what you want! And now, as far as NY Za goes... I'm not from NY, I don't heart NY, nor did I eat pizza there; the best representation I had of it was actually in L.A. so don't quote me boy cause I ain't said, oh, and you can also usually catch Pay-per-View boxing matches here too. Be there, be live!

Had a great experience here at Sals. Called in an order for pick up. Pizza was done and hot right on time. Cannoli however was floury wasn't the best. Service was nice , pizza was great.

Ok You know you like the pizza. New York style by the slice or the pie. Good pizza. I wanted a gyro. Not a lot of choices in the Bend. Sal's has gyros, decent meat, fresh tomatoes, onions, Tzatziki sauce. Pretty good when you need a gyro.

I love the knowledge that when the hubs and I order a pizza from Sal's, we will not have to cook for days--- literally. I think the large pizza is 18 inches. Each slice is basically a meal. (I confess, I have eaten two pieces in one sitting, but I immediately slipped into a food coma and was stuck on the couch for a while.) The Vegetarian pizza has all kinds of goodness for toppings--- artichoke hearts, olives (green and black most days), tomatoes, mushrooms, onions--- Yum! The Stuffed Spinach pizza is pretty darn good, but I'd suggest asking for extra sides of sauce if you are getting a full pizza. The sauce has just enough salt to really bring out the flavors in the cheese and spinach mixture. I unfortunately don't have a lot of experience with the meaty pizzas--- my better half doesn't chomp on animals--- but did have one piece of some kind of chicken pizza. I probably wouldn't have it again as the chicken really had no seasoning. The garlic knots are yummy all of the time, but on very magical days they are super-duper garlic-y. Good times... It is really nice to be able to try a slice for a reasonable price and base your future whole pizza orders off of your experiments. Seriously, If there are only a couple of people munching on a large Sal's pizza, it's gonna be a commitment. You will have lots of delicious leftovers. Helpful hint for the day: To reheat your Sal's pizza you can cook one slice in your Toast-r-Oven OR if you are so lucky to own one, you can reheat two slices on your Pizzazz Pizza cooker. Either of these methods will get your pizza nice and warm and crispy! On a side note--- Sal's is the first place where I ever saw someone toss the pizza dough (you know, like they do in the movies!) and I think that is neat-o.

We now have another reason to come to West Bend besides visiting family. Having grown up in West Bend and lusting after the original Dick's Pizza, Sal's is a different style, but ohhhhh so good. As good a New York Style as it gets, and I've tried lots!!! Great crust and just the right amount of toppings. Don't change a thing. Our carry out order was great and a good value too. Nice people and very clean. Wish we had one in our town.

I picked the place somewhat randomly, the only requirement being that delivery was available. Pizza was excellent, but I wanted garlic bread. They have these rolls out of a can they brush with garlic butter and call them "garlic knots". I prefer the crunch of the crust of real garlic bread. I'll order the pizza again, but they can keep the garlic knots.

nice addition to West Bend. when i came back home last time i was excited to try it out, and ended up going 3 times in my 2 week stay. Not the best quaility pizza i have encountered, but probably one of the better places in West Bend. Always nice to see non-chain restaurants here.

First pizza by the slice place in West Bend. You can get a whole pie or just a slice. Each slice is served with one of their delicious garlic knots. Daily slices include things like hawaiian, lasagna, BBQ chicken, margherita, spinach and feta, plus your typical cheese, sausage and pepperoni. They also have calzones, stombolis, stuffed pizza slices and some pasta dishes. For about $3.50 you get a huge slice of pizza and a garlic knot. Enough for a meal.
